Gold Work

This technique has been in use for many hundreds of years, both in the Church and of course, in Heraldic costume. One of the most famous English examples are the Royal Coronation Robes of State. But metal threads have come a long way, and today you can buy coloured metals as well as silver, copper and the traditional gold. Combined with silk work and the possibilities are endless.
